Turn.io sits at the intersection of the things I care most about: building software products that have a genuine, measurable impact on people's lives, and working with a smart, conscientious team to do it.

My time at Ctrl Group/Fora Health gave me an appreciation for what technology can do in healthcare when it's built carefully and with intention. I’ve been interested in text and voice chat for almost a decade, and as a South African, I’m familiar with how broadly WhatsApp is used in business settings. Chat as an interface is what drew me to Ctrl Group in the first place. I find this about Turn.io really compelling, reaching people where they already are, on the device they already have.

I'm drawn to Turn.io being a Public Benefit Corporation. At Wealthbit, our mission was to get a million South Africans to financial health, and that sense of purpose shaped every decision we made. I want to work somewhere with a practical purpose, not just an aspirational one.

Over roughly five years at Ctrl Group/Fora Health, I built the backend platform still in use today, the first version the web app for care team members, an AI assistant that uses RAG and other decision support tools, and an AI safety evaluation framework, all in clinical settings. More recently I’ve fine-tuned language models for production use, and led product development end-to-end. I'd love to bring that experience to a team building something meaningful at scale.
